My Service

I am currently serving my second term as the Ward 4 School Committee member and seeking re-election to a third term. During my tenure on the committee I have served as a member of the Budget and Property Subcommittee and the Rules and Policy Subcommittee. I am also the School Committee representative on the board of Northampton Open Media. Over the course of my two terms I have consistently advocated for the needs of our most vulnerable students and staff, supported all of our educators, and demanded transparency and accountability at the district level. I have also led the charge for more local funding to support our schools and contributed to the development of the Support Our Schools movement - a grass roots, cross-class, diverse coalition of community members. Lastly, my newsletter to constituents has provided detailed information about the issues and work of the committee. This resource of transparency and communication is something I am proud of and many constituents appreciate.
